Description:We are pleased to offer this 19thC. Qing [Ching] Dynasty, Chinese, silk, embroidered, pillow cover depicting afemale child resting upon a centrally placed lotus blossom, surround byauspicious rebuses including “Buddha’shand”, a phoenix, as well as a catfish. Characteristics include breathtakingembroidery rendered in silk satin stitch, with peacock feather and couched goldmetallic thread accents; tea trade ribbon edging; black silk edging depictingpolychrome Shou medallions, swastikas, lotus blossoms and coins; and blackvelvet edging and backing. This piece is in very good condition. It does notcome with a pillow insert. Please see photos for more details.
