A Chinese repousse silver box, late 19th-early20th century, approximately 2 ¾” tall x 1 ¼” wide x 1 ¾” long, witha stamp on the bottom. It features a foo or lion dog (shishi) with a ball underone paw. It has some interesting “action features”: the ball rolls, the eyesmove when the tongue is moved from side to side.Tests as silver. It is in excellent condition for its age,somewhat worn on the bottom, but no dents or breaks (see pictures). Veryinteresting little piece.
