This is GORGEOUS! Lavish antique Schiffli Lace Tablecloth Italian Handmade Lace Design measures 18.5\" x 11\". An exceptional example offine Schiffli machine-made lace.Thiswas made to replicate handmade Italian hand-knotted filet lace (squares) and Point de Venise needle lace (floral swirls) . What asuperb job they did! Those Schiffli machines were ( and still are) amazing!

This has a floralmotif, plus tiny squares, and other designs. So much in one piece. Condition is pre-owned. Yes, it DOES have issues you can see in the pictures. Quite a few areas have repairs, some better than others. One hole, which could be fixed. Quite a bit of storage tanning, or dots and marks. One pin point hole in center in linen, also a tiny pull with thread break, shows up on back side. Some edge issues. It is old, full of history. The previous owner may have been too rough when ironing it. I have seen this before, threads breaking,and this piece is very delicate, so care must be used.This is SOLD AS IS, NOT PERFECT, but it is old, so to be expected. May have other issues I miss. I have HAND washed this in natural soap and it is ready to use.
