This is one of the most romantic and feminine weddingveilsI have ever listed. I purchase it in France along with the matching dress and the silk bodice had badly deterioratedbut I was able to salvage the rows of lengths gathered double ruffled layers that I also have Listed. Made of white fine gage soft cotton Pointe d\'Esprit netting with delicate pale butter lace and ribbon the cap is shaped on a wire base and has the most gorgeous wax flowers along the ruffled front edge that frames the face.There are double rows of narrow silk ribbon in palest yellow and it is also trimmed inbarely yellow tiny lace. The yellow is almost more of an antique white.All arec1920s and in amazing condition.It measures as follows~ cap is 6\" deep from front to back at the center and17\" across from side to side. The veil portion is 60\" long from edge of cap to bottom and 56\" wide at bottom sweep.The white cotton Pointe d\'Esprit is strong, sound and cleanand in amazingcondition with a few minor random breaks~ shown.There aresome random splits in the pale yellow silk ribbon trim~ also shown but they are not easily seen and don\'t detract from the beauty of the veil. It is an amazing 100 year old treasure!At the time of listing I also had5 lengths slightly different inwidthif the skirt flounces available, sold separately. I have shown all detail so you can zoom to see the condition. This is awonderful find for Bridal, Doll, boudoir or any special heirloom project!Most textilesI sell are in ready to use condition and any flaws will be clearly stated.
