Leica IIIF Rangefinder 35mm Film Camera. SN:591188.C.1951. This Leica camera shows signs of age cosmetically and mechanically. The top surfaceanodizedfinish is marked in places and the film load base plate also has sundry scratches marks and rubs; all likely caused by friction against the original protective case.. No dents or significant deep scratchesthough - I believe the camera would restore well. The black vulcanite covers are excellent.
Camera Body:Mechanically all the functions select as designed but the shutter speeds are not reliable whatsoever and a service, clean and lubricate is essential if the intention is to use this camera with film. The take up spool is present. The rangefinder contrast box invisible and will not serve as a focus aid. Likely detached. The viewfinder is clear and diopter focus functions. The focal plane curtain is excellent on one side and as may be noted from image 12 one side has crinkled.
