Office of Archives and History North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources 1998 This book contains fourty-four Civil War letters by Henry A Clapp of Company F, 44th Massachusetts Volunteer Militia. Clapp was part of the Federal army that occupied New Bern and much of Eastern NC during the Civil War. The letters were to family and friends about the wartime conditions in North Carolina. Soft cover, 252 pages including maps, index, and illustrations.

This book comes from a private collection. Book is in very good condition. Soft cover shows little wear, soiling, and fading from age and use. Interior is in very good condition with no apparent markings. Binding is tight and intact - no creasing to spine. This is a USED book and sold AS IS.
