Lg 36\" Antique Aurora & Apollo in Chariot by Guido Reni in Gold Gesso Wood Frame:

This is an antique lithograph of a painting known as Apollo in his Chariot preceded by Dawn aka Aurora. It was painted in 1614 by Guido Reni on the ceiling of a Roman Cardinal\'s summer house. This is an unsigned reproduction of the original work.
We believe the lithograph and frame are antique or nearly so. The frame appears to be hand made and has pretty notable age on it (see 7th photo). The lithograph fits perfectly inside the opening which would suggest the frame was made for it. There is also a pencil notation on the frame that matches the dimensions of the artwork.
The artwork is in pretty good condition for its age with heavy wear on the back of the frame. The front of the frame has some small chips and spots of color loss (see photo #5). The glass was broken when we got it so we added a new pane. There are two small scuffs on the print under the horse hooves (see photo #3) and on the horse\'s head (see photo #4). We also made some repairs to the back of the frame (see photo #7) and added some small brackets to shore up loose areas.
The frame measures 36\" long by 21\" high, the print itself is 29\" by 14\".
