Limoges Demitasse Cup and Saucer, Blue and white with heavy gold gilt on handles and cup and saucer, flowers design over both pieces, the handle on the cup is very heavy with gold. Also gold leaves are featured around the outer rim of saucer. The blue and gold design on both the cup and saucer is intertwined with the in a kind of \"X\"-shaped design with a tiny pink flower in the center of each \'X\'.(Please view images.)This demitasse set has writing in gold reading \"Limoges China,\" along with the Limoges logo on the bottom of each piece.The cup measures about 2 1/2\" in height. The saucer measures 4 1/2\" across at widest point.
The set is in like new condition with no chips, breaks or cracks--only very, very slight wearon bottom of saucer. I do not know the age but it is vintage as it comes from a collection from an older estate.
This very pretty set in which to serve tea or coffee does not appear to have ever been used.
