I have for you this evening a stunning piece of porcelain that was fired at the kilns of an unknown porcelain maker in Limoges France near the end of the 19th century. This piece is made of very high grade porcelain and has been cast into a classic mold design. The piece has been glazed externally in a lovely variegated light blue and the interior is glazed with a pearl lustre glaze onto which has been painted roses both inside and out. The outer body has also been gilt in gold scroll type work. This is a classic piece and is quite lovely. Please see all of my pictures to gain a true appreciation for this beautifull piece. This piece will make a truly unique and lovely addition to your collection as well as displaying beautifully no matter the setting.
Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. This box measures around 7\" across the broadest point. This piece dates from the late19th century by the marks and design elements.
Item condition report: This piece is in excellent antique condition with no chips or crazing of glaze. There is a spider crack on the cover near the rim that can be seen i the next to last picture and some rough spots also pictured along with some retouched gold gilt on the rim. None of the issues greatly impacts the show quality of the piece and the colors are still fresh and vibrant and the gold gilt other than the rim is in excellent order. This piece displays beautifully.
