Offeredis this lovely porcelain china portrait plate made in Limoges, France, anddecorated by L. W. Levy (Imperial) in the 1920s or a little earlier. The portraitdepicts a young lady with curly black tresses flowing over her shoulders anddown her chest. She has red lips and blushed cheeks.

Hereyes appear to look heavenward.

The woman is surrounded by the coral-pink light of early morning or dusk.

Theartist’s signature appears to be Valenza.

Thescalloped plate has an embossed edge, trimmed in gold.

Theplate measures 10.5 inches in diameter (26.7 cm). It has small holes drilled inthe base to allow for hanging.

Theplate is in good condition for its years. We have had a small rim chipprofessionally repaired. The artist’s gold work can be seen in the last photo.Otherwise no damage.
