Hello!Just got this one done.It has a white oak top and the storage areas have a rough sawn & weathered white oak bottom. I worked on the top boards over the summer. I had been soaking some metal parts in a lye bath so I figured I would see what it did to white oak. Well, it distresses the wood some. It pops open some of the grain. It also adds a lot of color variation. The pictures really don\'t do this one justice. It is a lighter color on the frame than any of my others. I actually may keep this one if it doesn\'t sell right away. I had 19 carts to start with and I think I have enough parts left for one or two more after this one. The storage areas turn out pretty well. You really don\'t notice them and when you open them up they look like they have always been there. Some that I have seen look like someone ran to home depot and grabbed the cheapest pine they could find and tack something in place. I included a pic of my typical \'before\' cart. They all had some light brown paint on them. I found I could strip the paint and the Lineberry stencil still lived underneath. This cart has 15\" wheels and stands about 16\"high. The top is about 27\"x 48\".
All of these carts \'teter\'. I make an adjustment inside the swivel caster so the cart doesn\'t teter and the caster still swivels. The only caveat on this fix is that if you pick the cart up off the ground a couple inches, the caster will come out. Other than when you are first setting the cart up, it shouldn\'t happen.
ILocal Pick Up is preferred but I can ship this. I would build a crate that is 56\" x 32\" x 21\". I think I spend more time crating than some people do refurbishing the carts. Everything is very secure. My customers have been very happy. Total weight about 200lbs. The most economical option that I have found is to ship through Fastenal. That is a nationwide store chain that sells hardware primarily. They have room on their trucks that are running around the country. To use this service you need to pick up the crate at your nearest Fastenal store. It works pretty well and their stores are not as busy as a UPS hub. Shipping costs vary. Costs have been running around $150. Contact me for a quote.
Please note that if you buy this item and put it in your shopping cart, shows the item price and lists the shipping as \'free\', rather than \'to be calculated\'. Shipping is not free. I have included a couple pics on how I crate the carts. I do remove the wheels so everything is more secure. It is very easy to put things back together.I also sell these locally. Appleton WI is the nearest big city to me.Please ask questions. Thank you.
I just noticed that the 4th picture, the overhead view, makes it look like the edge of the table kind of curves out. The edge of the table is straight. 2-14
