Offered for sale, a new old stock, new in the box Lionel Penn Central GG-1 in Tuscan Red coloration #6-8753.  There is some self wear to the box (looks like water sprinkles) and discoloration to the paperwork.  I guarantee it did not affect the locomotive. It has ribbons still tied and I believe it has neever been out of the box. The locomotive comes with all original paperwork. This locomotive is part of a very large Lionel O scale collection we have been purchasing. The GG-1 is one of the most attractive Deco style trains ever built. The original list price of this train was $375 back in 1977.   This model was only made in 1977. Due to the excessive weight the shipping is calculated.  The closer to the East Coast the less it will be.

The classic Lionel GG-1 is a model of the engine considered by many railroad experts to be the best all around engine ever built. The GG-1 was designed by top industrial designer Raymond Loewy and first put into passenger service in 1935. The GG-1 can run at over 100 miles per hour with little strain. Some GG-1\'s are still in Penn Central and and Amtrak service. Lionel\'s first GG-1 was offered in the 1947 catalog. The first model with magene-traction and twin motors was built in 1950. We are proud to once again offer what has been and undoubtedly still is one of the best engineered of all the file Lionel locomotives.
