TheWindows, Was Painted in 1981 in Rockport.

Watercoloron paper, signed lower right.

Frame is intact, fits perfect to the artwork, has just a little scratches due to handmade nature,

artwork is cleaned and taken good care. Painting does not touch glass.

Ahearnwas born in Somerville, MA and studied commercial art at the VesperGeorge School of Art in Boston.

He and his family moved to Rockportin 1960 where he spent the remainder of his life and became a wellknown

Cape Ann artist specializing in watercolor scenes of the NorthShore (MA) area and landscapes of Ireland.

He was a member of theAmerican Watercolor Society, the New England Watercolor Society, theSalmagundi Club,

the North Shore Art Assoc., the DeCordova Museum anda past president of the Rockport Art Association.

He taughtwatercolor workshops in Rockport, Alaska, Hawaii and Ireland for manyyears.

He also enjoyed a long career as an advertising artist forGeneral Electric and The Boston Globe.

Ahearn died in Gloucester, MAin 2009.
