She became enamored when she attended a watercolorworkshop at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico in 1984.Since then she has studied with many well known artists both here andabroad. Her travels have taken her to New Mexico, California, Mexico,Italy, France, Ireland and the Caribbean. Her paintings reflect her impressionof all that she has experienced, displaying the beauty and excitement that shehas discovered in nature and life. Although, she experimented withother mediums such as oil, painting watercolors is her forte. In many ofher watercolors we are in the presence of an artist who sees a lyrical qualityin people, places and things. Indeed, capturing the essence of the worldaround her is of primary interest to Garnie Quick in her watercolorpainting. She often worked on location, her bright and spontaneousapproach created an illuminating interpretation of her subjectsThrough her magical recreations of still-life, landscape and people’sportraits, Quick captures lasting artistic of Colorado
