\"The Enchanted Doll House Hitty\" is an approximately 8 1/2\" jointed wooden doll that was handcrafted in Marblehead, Massachusetts, by Pauline Nagle, as one of the \"Little Brown House Originals\" wooden dolls circa 1997. She is signed on her back \"Little Brown House Originals/Marblehead/1997/?.\" Her face is simply painted with dots for brows, black painted lash eyes, a dot nose, and a tiny red mouth posed in a smile. Her triangular feet are painted white with thin black slippers (paint flakes). Her wooden arms with \"scoop\" hands without thumbs need to be restrung to her body. Her body and painting sustain light soil and imperfections from the manufacturing process. \"The Enchanted Doll House Hitty\" wears her original pink dotted cotton dress tagged \"Little Brown House Originals by Pauline Nagle Marblehead, Mass.\" Her dress is wrinkled and soiled, and may need laundering. Included are her white petticoat and pantaloons. Missing are her bonnet and ribbon belt tie, I believe. Julie Old Crow references this doll on her site.
