These are a wonderful collection of rare Little Golden Books written from 1954 to 1977. Authors and Illustrators: include: The Party Pig 1954-Kathryn and Byron Jackson Authors, Illustrator Richard Scarry- Our World 1955- Jane Werner Watson Author, Illustrator William Sayles-Tootle 34th printing 1978-Gertrude Crampton Author, Illustrator Tibor Gergely-Danny Beaver\'s Secret 1953-Patsy Scarry Author, Illustrator Richard Scarry-The Little Red Hen 18th printing 1977-Diane Muldrow Author, Illustrator J.P. Miller.The stories were created to entertain and inform Children. The Party Pig has a party in which his friends surprise him. Our World was written to introduce geographical places in the world to children. Tootle was written about the baby locomotive to become Tootle the Flyer. Danny Beaver\'s Secret was written as an adventure creating a surprise for his friends by making a pool.The Little Red Hen was written about an adventure the Little Red had by planting and reaping wheat with no help from her friends who ended up making bread just for herself as her friends didn\'t help her but wanted to eat. These are delightful books some wear-The Little Red Hen has damage to the back cover, somewritingon the inside back cover-Tootle has very little wear, back cover small tear at bottom-Our World on the binding on front cover shows wear-Danny Beaver\'s Secret has front/back lower binding, tape on it.The Party Pig has very little wear-binding and the top/bottom of front cover shows some wear. In all these are great for any collector or child as I enjoyed them as a child.
