This Clowns Head figure is titled Pensive Clown. We have also seen it called Clown with Bowler Hat. It is from the Jester Head Set Collection. This figure was originally issued in 1982 and was retired in 2001. The Spanish name for this piece is Cabeza de Payaso, and it was hand sculpted by Jose Puche in Valencia, Spain. This clown’s head figure is in excellent condition. It comes with the original box and wooden base. The box has storage wear. Please see the photos. The piece measures 11 inches x 7 inches. It has the blue bellflower LLadro stamp on bottom. It is imprinted G-8 JU which according to the Lladro website means that this is a glazed piece that was made July 8th. The other hand etched marks are artisan’s codes that were used for internal production and distribution tracking and have no meaning for identification or collecting purposes.
