Up for sale at the Grand Antique Mall, located in Cincinnati, Ohio is a Lladro Porcelain Figurine titled SAD PUPPY, sculpted by Julio Fernandez in 1969, and retired in 1990. The porcelain piece is #1071 and features a sweet puppy after a very long day. Many hallmarks are on the bottom (see photos) including the Lladro blue bellflower and Daisa stamp.


The sculpture is in MINT condition.


The Lladro company was founded in 1953 by three brothers, Juan, José and Vicente Lladro, in the village of Almàssera near Valencia. Starting with items such as vases and jugs, it wasn\'t until 1956 that they began producing the sculptures for which they are now most famous.
