- This is an Antique Loetz Witwe Glass Company (Circa 1920\'s) Iridescent Pearl Draped Glass Frog Base in Excellent Condition!
- Although these early Loetz Frogs originally came with a metal top or collar (this piece is not available) that separated the stems of the flowers that they were meant to hold, the glass itself is what truly made these pieces unique.
- Loetz produced a number of frog designs in the Pink Pink Iridescent Pearl Glass, however the \"Draped\" glass pattern was remarkably eye-catching!
- The distinctive shape of this piece is a cupped round base with a straight neck designed to hold the frog collar and lid.
- The vase is 3 3/4 inches in height, by 4 inches in diameter.
- The color ranges in this piece shift from cream on the background to pink, yellow, purple and green enclosed within its iridescence... the images here cannot do this piece justice.
- As this is an iridescent piece of Loetz Glass, it has a small amount of wear to the iridescent coating however it is in remarkable shape for being almost 100 years old and it has stood the test of time!
- This unique pieceis a luxurious item which was only available for a very short time around the 1920\'s which was during the period in which Loetz had briefly moved from Art Deco back to Art Nouveau, making this a must have for antique Loetz collectors and Bohemian Glass enthusiasts alike.
- We have inspected this piece for damages, and unless listed as otherwise, the item is in mint condition; there are no cracks, or scratches and the finish is in very good shape!
