Emma being Navajo,takes on the tradition known to the \"Zuni Pueblo\" style in jewelry. One of the most difficult to do,cluster jewelry takes lots patience,good eye sight,ability to work with such little stones BY HAND..Some just don\'t realize the time it takes to do this type of work & patience it takes..

Made of green & blue Nevada Carico Lake Turquoise..Carico is an active mine in Nevada & being quality in turquoise is judged by its hardness on the \'moh\'s\' scale,Carico ranks a 7~8,making it one of the most sought after by artists! These have an elegance & can be worn with jeans & as well as a black cocktail outfit!!! Dress with plain sterling or mix with your other SW pieces..
EXTREMELY long,butsurprisinglylight,Emma has used a variety of shapes to make this earring happen.There are ovals,square cuts laid in a diamond shape direction & rounds.All are bezel set.Dangles of turquoise through out,which are on a soldered connection.Hallmarked 3 x\'s on backside.Lightly oxidized,so no need to polish! Post style.MEASUREMENTS:Measure 4\" long x 1~1/8\" at their widest.Weigh 1.6 oz.combined weight.Comes boxed.

A Note about Emma...Emma Lincoln, Navajo, was born in Brigham City, Utah and was raised in Vanderwagon, New Mexico. She began to silversmith when she was 15 years old. Emma got married, had five children and shortly after her husband passed away. Emma has made alot of jewelry to support her family and to pay the bills. She is still working as a silversmith in Gallup, New Mexico. -
