1/48 -1/50 Custom Polistil German \'Konigstiger\' (King Tiger) heavy battle tank!!

This is a HEAVY DIECAST METAL Polistil King Tiger tank with WORKING METAL TRACKS!

Think of a 1/48 Hobby Master King Tiger BUT TWICE THE WEIGHT AND FULL DIECAST METAL! This is the King Tiger Solido never made!

This one is, of course, properly built with the correct scale parts and decals.

We gave this tank the works:

The too short and inaccurate factory cannon was removed and replaced with a METAL cannon of proper length with correct METAL muzzle brake. The radio antenna mounting hole was moved to it\'s correct position and replaced with a METAL antenna! The inaccurate Polistil machine gun was replaced with a removable Solido MG34 and moved to it\'s correct position. All of the tow shackles have been replaced with correct scale versions. The hull machine gun barrel has been replaced with a METAL one. The tracks have been chemically aged with selenium dioxide (gun blue) and not painted! We added a jack, jack block, fire extinguisher, wire cutters, sledge hammer, axe, clevis hooks, spare tracks with track hooks, drilled the gunners sight, drilled the co-ax MG opening, and correct exhausts.

We painted it in the correct late war three color German camouFlage with correct markings for the Schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 501.

All of the painting was done with expensive Japanese IWATA airbrushes.

This tank is marked 1/50 scale but it\'s a little larger. More like 1/48.

Included in this lot is a small bag of Gaso Line parts. I can\'t use them and I hate to throw them away so maybe you can use them.

There have been other attempts at customizing a Polistil King Tiger but to be honest, they looked like something done by a child. That\'s fine for a child\'s toy but for a discerning collector of diecast military vehicles we made one that has all the proper parts, correct decals and period 3 color camouFlage.
