Lot of 18 Vtg U.S. NAVY UNIFORM BUTTONS Gold-Colored Metal 13/16\" Waterbury:

Lot of 18 gold-colored metal single-shank buttons off what I believe is a (or more than one) WWII-era U.S. Navy dress uniform. They are about 13/16\" in diameter, and are the same design, although 13 of them are marked WATERBURY BUTTON CO. and five are marked SUPERIOR QUALITY. Of the 13 Waterbury Buttons, six are marked with the additional word of CONN. on the backs, and these six are a bit different in color - a little lighter in tone. The other seven are a little darker in color. The Superior buttons are a little inbetween. Some have metal clips on the backs, some have their original black fabric. These are uniform-worn, and have some wear where the finish is darker, on the furthest raised parts of the designs, i.e., the central parts of the eagles. A couple are slightly dented on the backsides. Still in overall good condition. Nice lot if you need to replace some, or have on hand if you restore uniforms.
