Here is a lot of two watercolor paints by Patsy Chapin. Both are beautiful lighthouses, with seascape scenes, including trees, bushes rocks and , of course, flying birds. Her use of the bright white light of the fluffy clouds against the blue sky is simply incredible. All done in watercolors, one of the most difficult mediums to paint realistic images in, signed in! Each are 5\" X 7\" pieces, framed in slightly larger frames, andhand signed by the artist, Patsy The watercolors are new, the frames are not...

\"Patsy, a native Californian, spent her first 45 years In the Los Angeles area. In 1994 at the age of 59, retired and living in Kingman, AZ, she became bored and took one class each of drawing, oils/acrylics, design, watercolor, and pastels at the local community college. She studied art with a passion.

In 1997, Patsy and her husband Doug, moved to the Florida Keys. She took two watercolor classes with Rocky Ferris, a very well known artist. He encouraged her to Join the Florida Keys Art Guild and to sell her work. She’s been hooked on art ever since.
\"The Chapins traveled at least 5 months each summer for 9 years, and she collected photos and reference materials everywhere they went. At home, Patsy spends her time painting, matting, and framing her work. She has painted lighthouses, pelicans, egrets, Great Blue Herons, macaws, Loggerhead turtles, and manatees, as well as florals, boats, landscapes, fish and shells.Patsy won four awards at the Lower Keys Art Network. Two were Blue Ribbons for her watercolor entries. Her work was available at the Florida Keys Art Guild Shows each winter and was dis­played and sold at Annette’s Lobster House in Marathon. She has donated her work to several local art sales, and to St. Peter’s Church fund raisers which Include help for hurricane victims.A “Snowbird” now, residing In Kingman, AZ, for the winter months, Patsy is a member of the Mohave Arts and Crafts Guild. She is happy to be back to paint desert scenes. They will spend their summers in Garibaldi, OR, where she is a member of the Tillamook County Art Association, showing her work at the Five Rivers Gallery, in Tillamook. She founded the Garibaldi Art Association in 2005, to promote fine arts and appreciation in the small community of 800.Chapin.\"
