Brooch #1

My parents bought this brooch on a trip to Japan and Hong Kong in 1962.

This brooch is delicate and beautiful. Cultured pearls and 14k gold for the metal piece.

The maker\'s mark is on the back. A letter \"M\" and the letters \"14k.\" Measures 1\" across.

My mother was crazy about Mikimoto and owned several pieces. This brooch was a favorite. Looks beautiful pinned on a suit jacket or dress.

Brooch #2

This pearl circle brooch is larger than the other one. I believe that the metal used is sterling silver, but I cannot prove it. The metal on the ring is in rough shape. I do not know why since this was kept in a jewelry drawer for the past 60 years. I cannot find the hallmark on this piece.

The pearls look very pretty.

This pin was purchased between 1955 and 1962 either in Honolulu, Hong Kong, or Tokyo.

These two brooches were often worn as a set. They look pretty that way. They hold their own as well when worn separately.
