Lot of 2 antique English thimbles: 1 silver and 1 probable silver-dipped:

I found these 2 thimbles in Eastern England with a metal detector. Details are as follows:
Smaller one (on left): 2.41 grams, 13.5 mm x 13.5 mm. There are no markings that I can see. It may be silver: it \'behaves\' like silver to the metal detector. But it could well be silver-\'washed\': dipped in silver over a copper alloy base. Age unknown.
Larger one (on right): 5.25 grams 20 mm high, 16 mm wide at base. No markings other than the \'10\', as shown. A beautiful scene of (left to right) a house, a sailboat on a lake with mountains in the background, and a house on the other side of the water, this time a lighthouse. Age also unknown. Polished up nicely with a silver cloth.
