Lot of 4 Hand painted raised relief bird tea cups by J.S.N.Y. Taiwan:

For sale is a lot of 4 tea cups by J.S.N.Y. Taiwan.
They stand 4 & a half inches tall, and hold 10 fl oz.
With a different raised relief, hand painted, bird on each one.
Blue Jay, Western Blue Bird, American Goldfinch, and Cardinal.
These are marked as made in Taiwan. Not made to be used as cups to drink out of. Glazing inside has small unglazed areas at handle.
Decoration only.
Received as a gift in the early 80’s. They were in a covered display case for several years, then packed in newspaper and stored in a box around 1995.1 chip, maybe 2, and some glazing imperfections.
They have some glazing imperfections, which in my humble opinion, is the case with most J.S.N.Y ceramics.
I have tried to show any chips or unglazed pock marks in the photo’s.
All have glazing imperfections. Blue Jay cup is not chipped. Western Blue Bird has no chips,
American Goldfinch has small chip in bottom lip (shown), Cardinal has small unglazed place on top lip (shown) and may be a chip in ring around the relief (shown).
Relief on all cups is in good condition. No chips, no missing parts. I will wash them before shipping unless buyer does not want them washed. Some do, some don’t.I do combine freight on multiple purchases as long as you let me know when you buy the first item.
