THIS TOY WAS RECENTLY SOLD TO A BUYER IN AUSTRALIA WHO ASKED ME TO CANCEL SALE AS HE HAD NOT INTENDED TO BUY IT. SALE WAS CANCELED. THIS IS A RELISTING WITH A LOWER PRICE - $315 ORIGINALLY NOW $295.FIRST, THE ITEM DESCRIPTION: Walt Disney released a short cartoon film(a mere 8 minutes long) in 1938 that tells the story of Ferdinand the Bull. That same year Louis Marx produced this tin toy wind up Ferdinand. It incorporates 2 of the elements of the Ferdinand story – the bee that stung him causing him to snort & charge & carry on like a fierce bull & flowers which he liked to smell while sitting under a shady tree. The toy works but the original rubber horns are missing. There is one horn but it is a replacement & not a very good one. The flowers & litho bee are original. There is paint loss on the lower portion of the right rear leg(same side as the key). The original box is complete & in excellent condition. There are 2 pieces of scotch tape on 1 end flap. Someone added a cardboard liner inside the box to help it keep its firm & square shape.
