This duck is darling in its simplicity. The enamel colors are a bright yellow contrasted with orange enamel feet and bill all highlighted by silver trim. The back of the pin shows a vermeil (gold) coating applied over the silver.

The pin measures just shy of 1 1/2\" high by 5/8\" wide. Pin weighs 3.8 gr. on my jewelry scale.
The condition of the pin\'s enamel is very good to excellent. The duck has a white line in the guilloche at the collar that under magnification looks like a chip but it is very precise and I believe ( as I have seen pictures of another duck pin by this artist with the same detail) that this was done intentionally by the artist to give the impression that the duck is wearing a collar. The only evidence of wear and age on the pin that I see is in the patina that has accumulated on the back of the pin and the tiniest bit of a bend in the actual pin shaft which indicates that the pin has been worn. This evidence of wear does not interfere with the security of the clasp which is a simple, attractive and effective \"c\" clasp.
On the back are the hallmarks that read: A.N.A. ( with the \"A\" on their sides) followed by 925S all enclosed in a circle.
