This is for a fabulous antique signed Japanese silver box, these boxes were given as wedding gifts and this one dates to the early 1900s Its alovely box, the design is superb, bringing the Japanese aesthetic together with a definite hint of art deco, its an unusual combination. The boxis coffin shaped, with a simple lift off lid,the sides have their original swing handles with decorativerosette mountsand the lid has a reallystylish geometric pattern thatis halfpolished and half brushed. The base is signed, i don\'t know who or where, butits a really nice good lookingperiod box and it displays beautifully. It is in absolute excellent A1condition with no damage to it anywhere and it measures95mm (3.75\") long by 35mm (1.5\") wideand stands17mm tall.
