Wonderful Victorian mourning brooch - an beveled oval of polished black onyx with a delightful little pearl set on a gold filled leaf in the center - collet set in a gold filled mounting.The original C-clasp has been replaced somewhere along the line with a safety clasp.Measures 1 1/4\" x 1\".Excellent condition, the onyx is not chipped or scratched - maybe very light surface wear.A lovely addition to a collection.
