LovelyFernware Mauchlineware Thread Winder

Thisunusual thread winder is of a type of Mauchline ware known as Fern warefrom the
form of decoration. It\'s printed on a white wood, probablysycamore, and dates to the late
19thcentury. The condition is outstanding with no damage orfaults. The winder measures
2¾\" x 1\". A winder of this type is shown on page 18 of DianePelham Burn\'s excellent
book, ThreadWinders, A Collectors Guide.
