This sale is for a lovely oil painting of some irises in a vase. The painting is done on canvas board and is signed Toy Gaerttner. On the back of the painting, it reads \"IRISES Toy Gaerttner St. John\'s Manse Staunton, Virginia July 4, 1965. The painting is very good, gently used condition and measures 20 inches high by 16 inches across. The only information I could find on the artist is that she was a Presbyterian minister\'s wife who lived in many places throughout the US during her life. There is light wear on the back of the painting and sides where it was probably held in a frame by nails but this wear is not visible on the front of the piece.
