VINTAGE MOORCROFT POTTERY BOWL

Striking and lovely vintage Moorcroft Pottery bowl measuring about 4-1/2\" wide and 1-1/2\" tall. Featuring a squat shape with flat base and rolled edge, interior is decorated with a raised floral design - looks like an Orchid or bearded Iris to me. Glazed in rich cobalt blue, flower is finished in pinks, yellows, purples and green - just beautiful. Incised W. MOORCROFT POTTER TO H.M. THE QUEEN, Made in England, condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage. Just a wonderful vintage piece with clear, fine crazing on the underside foot - guessing this dates to the mid-1940s or 1950s. Lovely addition to any collection or display!
