You are offerding on an attractive and in fine preservation and low mint 1941 Palestine British government5 mils copper–nickel coin.
Mintage: Very low mint only 400,000.
The Palestine Currency Board, after consulting with the Mandatory government officials, decided that the coins should be in the denominations of 1 and 2 mils (bronze), 5, 10, and 20 mils (nickel-bronze with center hole), and 50 and 100 mils (silver with reeded, or milled edges).
OBVERSE: Center hole with value above and below,5 mils in Hebrew, English and Arabic.
REVERSE: Date center hole, with inscription PALESTINE in English, Hebrew and Arabic, olive tree branch around the center hole.
Plain edge with center hole.
Cupronickel alloy (75% copper and 25% nickel).
Size: 20,0 mm in diameter.
Weight: 2,79 gr.
