Outstanding, rare early etching and aquatint of Freyung Square in the snow in Vienna, Austriaby well-known Austrian printmaker Luigi Kasimir (1881-1962). Kasimir was an innovator in color etching techniques and is renowned for his highly detailed and exacting architectural prints. This rare atmospheric etching of Vienna in the snow is an outstanding example of Kasimir\'s work. The etching is signed lower right and is in good condition though likely with toning and acid. It measures 9.25\" x 12.25\" (plate size). Framed and matted in an older mat and frame.
