Early Rare s&c underwood m1 carbine stock43 or early 44,birch.very rare, Has some dings and dents from wartime use,one good one on right side near where ejecctor would be.has early underwood buttplate. the recoil plate i put on is stamped bh or brt.r kinda runs into t,not sure who that maker is but i had it sitting around and stock didnt have one...bandspring also included...top wood is a unmarked perfect match that was with the stock when i found it,no cracks..stock has s&c.u stamped in slingwell,ghd cartouche on right side,crossed cannons either didnt make it on there or were worn off...kinda a ghost of them in right light..proof p stamp on grip..and a 1 stamped behind buttplate.no cracks,solid as a rock..5 fresh slow rounds of lindseed oil and 2 fresh coats of toms military wax to preserve,it was dry when i found it...this is one for a collector in original condition that will function fine on your carbine...very rare and a awsome golden honey color..its a original untouched war used beuuuuty! One of my favorites ive come across..thanks for checking it out.
