In order to be awarded with the distinguished \"Chronometro Gondolo\" designation, the movements for these watches had to fulfill the following four criteria: a cam wheel regulator, allowing very precise but practical adjustment of the watch, \"moustache\"-shaped lever, wolf\'s tooth winding and gold wheels for the wheel train. The watchmakers Gondolo & Labouriau ordered only the most elaborated watches. Typical are the following features: Cam disc regulator, cap jewels on escapement-wheel- and lever bearings, gold train, and the square hole in the barrel pinion for simply unwinding the spring. These fameous watches were available from the small ladies size up to huge watches (this is the huge one). There are few pocket watches which can actually be called lever-chronometer, and this one is surely the only real classic among them.
