This outstanding piece is part of our own personal matching French Bedroom suite which we have owned for nearly a decade and have now decided to sell due to a decor change at our home.
It is,simplyput, outstanding!
The piece dates to Circa 1870 - 1880 and is made from the finest solid walnut. It is also a French double bed so it is ever so slightly smaller than the Englishequivalentwhich is perfect if you have a small double room or even if you wish to make your largerdouble bedroom lookgranderwith this fabulous piece placed in the centre of the room.
The bed has everything going for it, including four rising finial posts, geometric mouldings to both Bed ends and even fully panelled Geometric sides which is a pure sign of top quality.
The piece retains the original Bedstead from the time we purchased it so all you have to do is put on your own mattress and you are good to go for thosemagicalnight sleeps.
The huge Bun feet also retain their original concealed casters for ease of moving if required.
As stated above the condition is superb commensurate with it\'s age of 140 years + and the piece has a fabulous rich aged patination.
This bed always receivesthe greatest amount of admiration when anybody visits our home, and I canguaranteethat the new owner will bedelightedwith this fantastic statement piece. It will also only ever go up in value so grab yourself a bargain.
