Vintage Margot de Taxcosterling silver figural earrings. Angel facesin profilewith masses of curls have exquisite detail.Pieces are repousse withsilverwings added on both sides of faces.Earrings are marked with MDT hallmark, inventory #5314and made between 1948-78.Margot van Voorhies Carr began designing silver in Taxco, Mexico for Los Castilloin the late 1930\'s. She opened her own shop on 1948 and became well known for beautiful high quality silver and champlevé enamel jewelry. Charming earrings have even, overall patina but no visible wear. Well made, seldom seen design, collector quality in excellentvintage condition.
