MASSIVE Solid SILVER DANISH Basting or GRAVY Spoon. BRIGHT CUT. Spetzler. 1908:

A fine and enormous solid silver Danish basting spoon, with bright cut decoration. There is the initial \'B\' at the top. The bowl is lightly gilded.

To try and put the size of this spoon in context, I have put a souvenir spoon next to it in one of the photographs. Please note this spoon is not included in the price, just the Danish spoon.

Hallmarks: The spoon is marked with the Danish three tower mark, and the date for 1908. It has the Christian Heise assay Master mark, and the maker\'s mark for Alois Spetzler, who worked in the city of Fredericia between 1907 and 1948.

Dimensions: It is 36.5cm long and weighs 117g.

Condition:The spoon is in good condition, with just one little ding in the bowl. No splits or repairs. The gilding in the bowl is quite worn.
