The center stone is amethyst. They haveturquoise stone accents.
Hand signedin scriptnot machine stamped,\"Matl Mex 925\" on the reverse of one earring.I had the pleasure of meeting the artist, Ricardo Salas,in Mexico City while I was working on the film \"Frida\". Much of the jewelry used on the film was procured from him.He told me about all of the wonderful jewelry that they had made for Frida.I purchased many gorgeous pieces, including this one, from him.
They are in excellent condition.
These beautiful earrings were made by Ricardo Salas, nephew to legendary Taxco silver maestro, Matilda Poulat.
It is hand crafted from sterling silver and semi-precious stones.

academy, where he received the premio Diego Rivera. As a youth, he learned the techniques of the silversmith and
perfected the carving of ivory, coral, turquoise, and other stones used in the jewelry and figurines.
