The artist was pleased to learn from Brown and Bigelow that his first landscape done for them in 1936 , was the first landscape in the history of the company to lead an entire line of sales during an initial selling period. \"It means a lot to me,\" he replied, \"for I have felt for a number of years that I have a better grasp on landscape than on any other subject.\" At age sixty four, an age at which many men are retiring, Parrish was entering full speed into a new phase of his career.

C O N D I T I O N :

The print is in excellent condition, with very strong color, no stains, foxing, or any other damage to be noted. It has been framed using all museum quality materials including a beige mat with matching core. The Parrishesque vintage frame is also in excellent condition with nice patina, and still retains it\'s original glass.

D I M E N S I O N S :

These particular Brown & Bigelow landscape calendars were issued in sizes ranging from miniature to extra large. This is the extra small size which is the next size larger than the miniature.
The visible size of the print is 4 1/2 \" by 6 \", and the overall size with frame is
5 5/8\" by 8 7/8 \".
