I have recently purchased a large amount of jewelry from the estate of an elderly lady who bought multiples of items over many years, and never used them! Not only that...but apparently she inherited her parents estate, and it was much the same....except those items are even older!!! Please bookmark my listings, as it will take me along time to list all of this great vintage hoard! Items from this estate will all be prefaced with this paragraph.

ITEM TYPE: HUGE quetzal bird pin brooch...6\" long!

MATERIAL: silver (pre 1948 Mexico, marked silver, is probably at least sterling, could be slightly more or less (800-975), small green stone set in eye

MAKER/MARKS: Made in Mexico Silver

DIMENSIONS: (please refer to measurements, and item with object for scale, as jewelry can appear different on computer screen) Approx 6\" long!!!!!!

CONDITION:very old silver pin, with wonderful very dark patina....(I would not polish, but I leave that decision to new owner)...Front very good, a few minor dings in the back. Clasp works very well (must be in precise position to open, see photo, and be sure to open/ close it a couple of times while looking at the clasp so you know where the \"sweet spot\" is!)

I do not \"monkey with\" vintage jewelry, leaving cleaning decisions and products up to new owners.

REMARKS: Hollow construction, ...a wonderful example of vintage Mexican silver jewelry....so detailed, just look at all the feather work!!!! This is the longest quetzal pin I have ever seen!
