MID 19TH c. JAPY FRERES FRENCH SPELTER MANTLE CLOCK -CAVALIER FIGURE -FOR REPAIR:
$82.81

An antique French spelter mantle clock, made in the mid 19th century, in the Louis XVI style.
The case is complete but the piece that sits on top of the movement drum is broken off.
It has a stamped \'Japy Freres Grand Medallion D\'Honneur\' movement from the 1855 exposition.
Themovementhas an external countwheel, which is stampedP.LESPERUT FILS AINE A PARIS.
Beneath this is the number 0436
It needs a suspension spring that the pendulum hangs from.
The movement will probably need a service/clean as it has been stood for some time. I have had it ticking, some time ago, without a pendulum and seemed to run fine then.
The white enamel dial is in great condition apart from a bit of minor damage to the edge at the 9\'o\'clock position.
It measures approximately :-
11.1/4\"(28.5cm) high x 12.1/4\"(31cm) wide x 4.3/4\"(12cm) deep.
