Hereis a beautiful Etruscan metal sculptureof a horse mounted to a contrasting slate slab!The sculpture is enameled metal and has a turquoisehue to the metal to give the appearance of great antiquity. The sculpture stands approximately1 0 1/2 \" t a l l b y 7 \" w i d e , Made in Italy.
Frederic Weinberg had done a number of these type of Etruscan
sculptures for wall art and even put them into lamp designs
and other furnishings. These pieces fit in with the late fifties Grecian revivalwhen myths and legends of Ancient Greece inspired mid century designers.
