For sale is an extremely rare Franklin glove signed by Phillies Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt commemorating his numerous Gold Glove awards. I have been collecting Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles memorabilia for over 25 years and it is time for someone else to enjoy the items in my collection. The glove is the exact same model (Franklin Model 4183) that Schmidt used when he played third base for the Phillies. I am the original owner of the glove and I purchased it from Home Shopping Network sometime around 1990 after Schmidt retired. I was surprised to see him on HSN and he spoke about how it was his exact game model and there were only 950 produced - this one is a low numbered 186 of 950 which was added by Mike to his signature on the glove (see third picture). This beautiful glove makes a great display for any Phillies fan or MLB fan of the greatest third baseman of all time. The plaque in the front of the stand reads \"Gold Glove Award Winner 1976-84, 86\" and \"Limited Edition of 950\". The glove is in excellent condition and the signature is still bold. Mike Schmidt often speaks about how he takes pride in his signature because it is clear and legible, not like the scribble you get from today\'s players. This glove is one of only 950 produced and is 27 years old so it is as rare as they come - most of us Mike Schmidt collectors have a beautifully signed ball, but how many have a signed glove?
