This listing is for a fully functional, vintage BATTERY OPERATED SMOKEY BEAR w/box as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in excellent - mint condition. Litho, tin and clothing are exceptionally nice & clean. The correct 4 actions are as follow: (1) sSmokey bear walks forward, (2) Right hand raises pipe to mouth, (3) Pipe light up red as if he is drawing in smoke, (4) He lowers his pipe and exhales smoke. ( great smoker! ) This toy has been tested and works fine. Battery compartment is spotless with absolutely no corrosion anywhere on this toy. Also included is the original battery insertion card. This is a \"MADE IN JAPAN\" toy listed in Don Hultzman\'s book, COLLECTOR\'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed and pictured on page 164. It is a 1950\'s era toy made by the Marusan ( SAN ) Co. It has a rarity of 6 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $500.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The box is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage. Displays very well. A very nice complete, clean, working example of this charming toy.
