An mint condition copy of Massimo Vignelli\'s famed 1972 New York City Subway map.Measures 18x24 inches.This is the first edition printing which the Italian designer designed himself. Vignelli retained no control over his subway map following 1972. Later editions feature extensive changes that include moving the Rockaways inwards and changing the color of the water from beige to grey. This map is in excellent condition. Inside, the map has retained its original white very well due to a lack of air exposure. As a result, the line colors are still rich and pop off the map. The folds are still tight which makes opening the map slightly difficult. I have refrained from flattening the map to maintain the tightness of the folds and crispness of the paper. There is a tiny split on the border yet the map is great regardless.Free Domestic U.S. Shipping!
