his quilt\'s simple scrapbag equilateral triangles are masterfully arranged into light and dark columns and then further subdivided into lighter and darker groups within those strings. The result is a truly sparkling, like a curtain of glittering ribbons, twisting and turning, their facets catching the light. It\'s a delightful overall composition in near mint condition.

The quilt was found in Lancaster Co., PA and has classic grand Pennsylvania-style 6-strand braids in the borders. The fabulous scrapbag collection of fine fabrics dates the quilt to the last quarter of the 1800\'s and includes a wonderful selection of conversation prints with a special contingent of sweet bird motifs.

Size
The quilt measures about 81 x 95 inches. The triangles are 4.5 to 5 inches on a side.

Quilting
The hand-quilting is excellent, with 7-8 little stitches to the inch, counting on the top side of the quilt only. The triangles have a crisp mesh of overall 3/4-inch hanging diamonds and the borders have beautiful, grand 6-strand PA braids.

Backing, Binding & Batting
The backing is a beautiful stripe in perfect condition save for a few small stains.

The narrow, scant 3/8-inch straight-grain binding is hand-applied and in perfect condition.

The batting is very thin and even.

Condition
The quilt\'s condition is excellent: strong, sturdy, crisp and clean. It feels never washed and is vibrant, color-saturated with no worse flaw than a few faint spots as pictured and slight marks along the quilting lines on a couple dozen of the light triangles. All in all, this handsome quilt is rewardingly close to mint condition.

Shipping

I generally ship USPS Priority, but always try to offer you a choice of services. There are no packing or hidden fees. When I can ship for less, you\'ll receive a Paypal refund for the difference.

Overseas shipping

I charge exact Priority shipping costs. Frequent overseas buyer often prefer to have their paid wins held for weeks or months, so a whole batch can ship at once for combined shipping savings. I just ask that you pay for each win in a timely manner. When you\'re done shopping, I pack the group and bill you for the combined shipping total.

Combined shipping

I\'m always happy to combine shipping and will re-invoice you with the new total if you have multiple wins in a day. If you have already paid, of course I\'ll refund you the savings.

Shipping Time

I strive to ship within 24 hours of cleared payment. If you need your package by a certain date or don\'t want it to arrive until you return from a trip, just let me know and we\'ll adjust accordingly.

Layaway

I often list in themed bursts, so I know you might find a cache of must-have quilts when a splurge isn\'t in the budget. I can often offer layaway on quilts selling for over $450.

Layway terms are a 1/3 down and the balance payable in your choice of installments, within 90 days from the listing\'s closing date.

Returns

I go to great lengths to outline every last flaw no matter how minor, so the only surprise that might await you is how much better a quilt is real life. Naturally, if you find I have missed something, I count on you to let me know immediately so that I may make things right.
