So much stuff to sell, so little time in a day to get things rolling! First, I\'m going to tell you about this glass before I go into the description. If you aren\'t into hearing a good story, then please move along to the description of this item.

HISTORY: I have a friend/artist in CA that I met via waaaay back before Facebook came along. She had an opportunity to buy the left over slag (not sure that\'s the correct term) but the glass that is cut away in the stained glass sheeting process. Oceana glass in San Mateo had shut down it\'s factory and she was able to confiscate a bunch of the leftovers. I bought from her on and got a box full of filthy glass, LOL! You won\'t have to deal with that because I laid it all out on the back patio and washed it down with a hose. It was then lovingly packed away, pretty much never to be seen again until now. I could be mistaken, because I\'m yakking off the cuff here. I know the factory shut down. Somewhere in the last 10 years Youghiogheny glass either bought the rights to the way Oceana processed their glass - but the name \"Oceana\" is back, associated with Youghiogheny.

DESCRIPTION: I have about a total of 17 pounds of this glass so keep an eye of of more to come, if you\'re interested. This is over 2.5 pounds of scrap Oceana glass, the larger pieces. The amazing thing about this glass is that you can look at a piece and see a dull color... but hold it up to the light and it\'s an amazing mix/layers of color that even today had me gasping while I was sorting. For a good example, I took the time to try and get a sunshine through shot of a few of the pieces. The rather reddish-brown with what looks like black running through it that you see in pics #1 and #3, in pic #4 you see the deception behind the color you see.... a vibrant and stunning mixture of colors. There is a good amount of different glasses, as I separated the entire crop out and then hand picked them so that there would be a few of each color. One of Oceana\'s claims to fame was for their texture! Whether used in a mosaic piece or stained glass project of some kind where the light comes through, this glass is history. So, you\'re getting glass that will never be made again by that company and specifically, never from the factory again. I only used the glass in one piece and grouted in black, the colors just pop! This bag holds pieces from the size of a quarter to pieces as long as 5 inches or greater. What you see in the photos is what you will receive. No stock photo here... I want you to get what you paid for!
